We are delighted to say that Cambridge Neuro-Physiotherapy now has a speech and language therapist.
Áine qualified in 2012 with a Masters of Science in Speech and Language Therapy.
She gained specialist experience working in a brain injury rehabilitation unit before moving to an award-winning Stroke Early Supported Discharge team. She has worked extensively with patients who have experienced a wide range of communication difficulties post-stroke, to deliver person-centred rehabilitation. Áine is a Specialist Dysphagia Practitioner with specific experience in patients with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties after mild to moderate stroke.
Áine currently works in an innovative rotation post that spans both a community-based team and the Stroke unit in Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
She is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Health and Care Professional Council.
