Emma qualified in 1996 from the University of East London with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, initially working at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, where her interest in Neurology was piqued. In 1999 she took up a Senior Physiotherapy post at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square, spending three years across the neurosurgical, neuro-medical, neuro-rehabilitation, neuro-outpatients and neuropsychology rotations and ending with a year in a research position.
During a break to have her children, Emma qualified with a Masters certificate in Pilates and ran a popular Pilates studio for over 10 years, alongside her specialisation and interest in treating clients with neurological conditions.
Recently Emma joined the acute neurosciences team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital following a move to the area. She has a wide range of clinical experience within the community and the acute sector and works closely with GPs, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and case managers.
Emma is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology and is registered with the HCPC.
